I've seen this movie at least 11 times. It's heartwarming, heartbreaking and very well acted. Direction is wonderful as well. Personally the star of this film is the house, it's like it's the other main character. You feel like you've come home. Bucolic setting, lovely homey interiors. This movie was dedicated to Chris Columbus's (Director) mother. It shows. You can feel the warm embrace. I watch it every time I need comforting.
After first watching 1883 and then 1923 in chronological order I started YELLOWSTONE and so far I HATE it. I was so invested in the dynasty of the scrappy Dutton family and their struggles for a better, richer life. Now in YELLOWSTONE there are almost no characters that I can relate to or care about. Everyone is dishonest, violent, and above all bad actors. The women are especially bad. Also the direction is so misogynistic and disgusting towards women you can tell that Beth has to act like a HO and be so disgustingly piggish that I could care less what her story line isI will continue watching this train wreck until the end of Season One. Let's hope it improves and we see some light at the end of the tunnel.
