I must admit I was surprised how high this episode rated.
It was so random and seems like someone won a bet or something.
...and then the random way it got ended.
However I'm a completist - I sat through all of Black Skies and Iron Fist ...so I'll continue enjoying all the randomness of our Black Lightning ⚡ 😁
If you get past pseudo American accents, music, general look and feel, it's not a horrible way to spend 45 minutes.
It's like it's a showcase from acting final year students ...and writers ...and director probably.
I've only seen episode 1 and hopefully there's actually at some South Africa in it.
I'm a few months late on finishing this season so only now seeing this. I really really wanted to like it because of the buildup, but unfortunately I agree with with pretty much everything said including "wait, wouldn't she have robot strength??!? Can you just be fighting her like normal ??!?"
There just wasn't any background work done on her to get us to care.
The entire incarnation is still great viewing though
