Not a story we need in this form. The acting i loved for the most part and the cinematography was great. Brody was superb. Ultimately though too long of a movie with too much of a drama and a missed chance to dig further un the architectural period called the Brutalist Period. Just not enough interest there, maybe because it was a conceptual hire wire act, that left you ultimately depressed and disappointed. Of course it wasn't terrible. Brody deserved an Oscar for it, but was it needed... ? It didn't really show much that was new. It wasn't particularly entertaining, but it also didnt really make ne think about teal issues of assimilation. It was too distant and cold to do that .
This is not a light comedic take on dance you can put in a ketchup bottle and then squeeze on a fatty hamburger.
Its funny at times, confusing sometimes, quirky, witty. Annoying, delightful... but always brilliantly written.
Television could be so beautiful, it does not have to be Etoile... but better it be original and passionate... and that it is.
Many ways to do it right, even if it does not fit all shoes.
The cinematography and dancing is gorgeous, the acting good, at times phenomenal... it's the writing though that does stand out.
Di many unexpected nuggets. If you look for easy entertainment.. go elsewhere.

I can't even believe that a piece of crap like this movie can rival Dune. No message, no real story, bad lighting, bad editing.
I only finished watching because of the good reviews. But it was a real drag.
The acting was average at best. That this even was nominated let along won anything is telling of the world we live in.
They say it was a low budget movie, well it shows. It looks like c level movie all the way. The only reason we don't see more movies like this is, because nobody wants to see it.
A masterpiece like challenger or dune gets ignored but we uplift lazy movie making like this? I'm out, completely disappointed. Rant over!
