#Sinners gave me an etheral experience which I was not expecting. Ludwig's BGM was one of the major factor for this. Even though the movie is a vampire gothic horror on papers, it lives much beyond that with it's visceral theme and sensory explosion both visual and auditory. Coogler immerses us in his craft with the #IMAX camera shots, captivating storyline, great casting and soulful blues.
5th row middle seat at IMAX Xenon, Cinepolis Shantiniketan Bangalore. A must watch in this format itself for a full blown experience. Cities with 4K laser IMAX or 1.43 IMAX, you lucky people!!!

Watched #Nosferatu at a 4K laser non Atmos scope screen today. I didn't have much idea what level to expect, but then the movie was a piece of art. It stirred my souls with fear, melancholy and wretch for the hours it played. The whole cinema hall was silently watching with their breath held. The story of damned evil nosferatu and it's lustful covenant with Ellen Hutter was not easy to watch. Lily rose Depp has done a phenomenal job in perfecting this role. Prosthetic covered BillSkarsgard proves once again that he is the master of physical horror after Lom Chaney. Robert Eggers revisits his style of color movie with less colors and more of a black and white color tone. The cinematography and editing is amazing and it definitely adds beauty to the eerie ambience of the movie. Willem Dafoe effortlessly aces his character as usual. Worth watch in theatres if you are a fan of this genre. I wish it was released in #IMAX screens here in India. Also watch it in a flat screen if possible. #Atmos also might help when it comes to hear the dreaded labourous breathing of count orlock.
Flow is a sweet engaging story of a group of animals surviving in an apocalyptic flood kind of a situation. The scenes are well written with giving utmost attention to the individual characteristics, mannerisms and physicalities of each creature here very realistically. The story creates some questions in our head like what kind of a situation world is in the story or some mysterious scenes which looks mystical or science fiction type. The animation is top notch and felt better than many of the Disney movies. This one defentely shows that indie movies(including animation) can work very well if there is a right story and the heart at the right place. Movie deserves an Oscar in the animated feature film category.
