Let me just say that I am a huge fan of the Jurassic Park trilogy. This one was the first that I saw, and even now, I enjoy watching it. Sure, it's not as mind-blowing as Jurassic Park, but The Lost World is a great movie on it's own, even if there are some noticeable flaws. True, every scene is a setup for the next dinosaur attack, sure a velociraptor being knocked out by gymnastics is beyond stupid, and yeah, Sam Neill and Laura Dern are not in this movie, but there are a lot more positives concerning this movie than there are negatives. First of all, I'm glad Jeff Goldblum's character Ian Malcolm was given the lead, because this time around we really got to know him better and he was a lot more serious, mainly because he knows the dangers of facing these dinosaur, and what they're capable of, and Richard Attenborough's cameo as John Hammond was short, but quite a scene-stealing moment, and one of the most endearing moments from the entire film. The new actors(Julianne Moore, Vince Vaughn, Pete Postlethwaite, Arliss Howard, etc) were good, and this is the only movie where I feel like Vince Vaughn showed how good of an actor he is. One complaint that is just stupid is that people complained that Jurassic Park didn't show enough dinosaurs, but when Spielberg showed more in The Lost World, they complained that it was too much. Now about the special effects, the dinosaurs look even better than they did in the first film, because it had been 4 years, and so obviously the effects would be upgraded, and I know people may disagree, but I really love the T-rex running through the streets of San Diego, and it just brings up the level of excitement. Malcolm's daughter is black, and she's kinda bratty, and I liked Lex and Tim (Hammond's grandchildren) better. They were more fun to watch, and their fear was more believable. Overall, The Lost World is a great movie for thrills and the acting is solid enough to keep you invested, but that doesn't change the fact that Jurassic Park was a better movie, told a better story, and had a much better balance in showing the Dinosaurs as creatures and monsters; while Jurassic Park took an hour to show a dinosaur attack, this movie did it almost immediately in the beginning of the film. Another disappointment is that the Velociraptors are less prominent this time around, but they're just as scary as they were in the first movie. But all in all, this movie is fun and thrilling, and the acting is really good, but it lacks the magic and inspiration that made Jurassic Park amazing. 8/10

I was obsessed with this movie as a kid, and even when I think about it now, I can see how it was silly and cliché, but it's still a joy to watch. I also knew this movie was based on a cartoon, but I knew nothing about the cartoon, and I knew about the movie first, so naturally I would assume that everything that happened in the movie is just like the cartoon, but I've read from other reviewers that this movie is so different from the cartoon. Since I never watched the cartoon, I'm reviewing this as a stand-alone film. This movie is really fun to watch; Matthew Broderick was the right man to play the title role, and he actually looks the part, I don't know why most people beg to differ, and Rupert Everett is funny as Sanford Scolex (aka Dr. Claw), and is sinister enough to get you invested, but the problem with his character is that he doesn't actually pose as a menacing threat to the society or to Gadget himself, he's more of a smooth talker. His henchmen are funny enough and they are great comic relief, but perhaps my greatest memory of this movie was the song, "I'll Be Your Everything" by Youngstown. That song is funky, it's a nice boy band tune, and it's good to listen to, but just recently, I found out that it's actually lyrically suggestive. For example the line, "So just call out 'Go-Go Gadget'", is actually, "I can freak you with my gadget", hahaha, lol, yeah I know, dirty, huh? The Robo-Gadget devil is funny, and he could've been the villain throughout, but all he does is wreak havoc around the city. The humor is good enough, and this movie is good, but I don't understand what pushed Disney to make a direct-to-DVD sequel, which was a complete travesty, and not worthy of being watched! I've only seen previews of the sequel, but that was enough for me to know that it's TERRIBLE!!! Overall, I like Inspector Gadget, and it's good for what it is, and enjoyable enough, especially if you liked it as a kid, if I were you, I wouldn't be so harsh towards the movie and just accept it as a stand- alone film. 8/10. Let me just start by saying that I had no knowledge of Dream Street's existence until 3 months ago, I just never new about them, but I've at least known about Jesse McCartney as a solo artist for a long time. I started checking out their music videos, live performances, and interviews, and it surprises me that Jesse ended up being the breakout star of the group. Why? Because after seeing that Chris Trousdale was the ultimate favorite member, I find it weird that he didn't become the most successful member. I enjoy Dream Street's music, and I wish I had known about them when I was a little kid. Now, I had only seen parts of this movie, and that was enough for me to know that it sucks, and that it's just a cheap, boring, predictable chick flick, and the fact that Chris Trousdale was playing himself just proves that he has no acting ability. I already know how this plays out, and this kind of story has been used so many times that it just bores you out, and the girl Debbie(Kaila Amariah) has such an annoying and grating voice, it's so sickening and makes you feel like punching her in the face, and the overall premise is so corny. The only good thing about it was probably the soundtrack, which primarily consisted of Dream Street songs, and a few other various artists such as Swedish pop girl group Play, but even so, the soundtrack isn't worth buying. Why? Because it'll end up being a waste of money, especially if you already own Dream Street's album. Another thing I gotta say about this is that how the hell did Pat Morita get roped in to this nonsense, I mean it's sad that he agreed to be apart of this movie. That's all I gotta say about this movie, it's not worth anyone's time. 2/10
