I really enjoyed the first one, it was one of those films you came across and thought "theres nothing else to watch" but found yourself presently surprised.
The sequel however is a different matter entirely. Although not a bad film, its not a good one ether. The plot has a massive amount of holes, the script is straight out of a b-movie and the acting was fairly dull.
There were moments of excitement but they are few and far between and unlike the first film this one contains not a single tense moment at all. I found myself many times throughout the film checking my phone or tablet which is a pretty good sign of how interesting a movie is.
Sequels always being rubbish aside, don't pay to see this film, watch it on TV or stream it online when you've watched everything else of merit on Netflix.

this is my first time writing a review because normally voting is enough but not this time...
This film is beyond boring, complete waste of time for everyone involved in the production let alone those who have had to suffer attempting to watch this rubbish. The book is a classic, properly one of the best ever written, this film however has none of the charm of the book. I can honestly say it has no redeeming values at all.
But the worst thing, worst than the bad script, acting, casting, direction, cinematography, pretty much everything is the fact it isn't even shot in widescreen.
It begs belief that in this day and age when even your phone can do full HD panoramic video that they would choose to shoot this film like that. Its 2012, not 1990 people, lets just regulate those black bars on the side and bottom of the screen to the back of the drawer. If i watch a film in HD i expect to see ALL the movie, i don't expect to have to set it to stretch mode and watch the cast balloon in size.
If this was a good film it would of ruined it but as it stands it was just another reason to completely give this a miss at all costs.
