I liked Dahmer, couldn't get on with Menendez bros but this one was just fantastic. It went off piste and wasn't factual and frankly I dont care. This series highlighted serious mental health issues which made you look at things differently. Not a psychopath or a schizophrenic but a man. It was a really hard watch with great support performances but Charlie needs an emmy for this. You go from disgusted to almost sympathetic. It's a tour de force, genuinely. I dont care that the voice was different, it was creepy and it was meek and vulnerable which was what it needed to be. Hunnam was so vulnerable as an actor that I would be shocked if he isn't on every call sheet next year.
I scored a little higher than most mainly as I do like Luke Wilson and Brendan Fehr. It was such a silly film. Good idea but wow. The main issue was lack of score or sound effects so it felt awks. The dialogue was dire so actors had nothing to work with at all. No logic at all. On one occasion Brendan hears a cry for help then DROPS his weapon and runs to the rescue armed with a bow tie and not much else! Dont get me started on the sisaters. The only smart thing they did was remove heels. Insane. I think it was just for a break from the kids and to pay the mortgage.
I don't think it's an utter waste of time for the eye candy but make sure you're at least a bit drunk.

I had low expectations because of terrible reviews but I really enjoyed it! Is it plausible? No, but then again neither was Cliffhanger, Poseidon Adventure or Armageddon. Turn off your brain and enjoy the ride because it's actually really enjoyable.
