The chemistry between Ellie and Dina feel rushed. They keep smiling at each other despite their situation being completely chaotic. They joke, they smile with big googly eyes whiles surrounded by 12 militia and infected. Dina keep pulling off math to ''triangulate'' the patrol movement that make no sense. And Ellie act like a dumb idiot, supposedly being the muscle of the operation, Dina, the brain. 2 teenager and the power of love against an army on a vengeance quest. The writing feel much more sloppy than the first season, witch were slower and much more subtle in his approach. All of this feel rushed and out of place.
Proudly produced by Netflix, the same platform who promoted sharing password, then ban it, increase their price by more 400% in the last 6 years, introduced ads and keep rebranding their subscription tiers. This episode is dark but it make you think how pharma already playing with the life of millions of people who depend on their meds. Really subtle episode that explain really well the greed has real impact on everyday peoples. We dont care until it happen to us. Gut-wrenching episode but a must see. It get incomfortable really fast. That is black mirror at his peak. Love everything about it. The performance, the writing, the music. Peak television.
Nowadays, there is no 'it was OK''. Its all : ''1/10, I HATED IT so much''... or ''10/10, best thing I ever watched''. It was ok. Good popcorn family flicks. Few great lines, great world building, good enough dialogs.
You have seen it a millions times before and there nothing wrong by switching off your brain for a 2 hours and enjoyed a movie. There are far more things out there to be really concern about than to ''hate'' a movie so bad that you have to give it 1/10 and vomiting your hate on a review about it. That tell us more about you than the movie itself. Chriss Pratt was decent, MBB did what she was paid to do... We will forget about it in 1 month and that is OK. I had better hope from the Russo brothers. I dont get what they got out of it. I dont judge. I a decent time watching it with the kids, who by the way, loved the movie. So mission accomplish, i guess.
