  • What to think...

I just watched this excuse for a sequel. After a long hard think what to rate it, I ended up at a 7. 5 being watchable, 6 enjoyable and 7 Good in more then one aspect.

This film is a sequel to a film that doesn't need one. To start with the good things: the visuals, it is a pretty looking film. The action scenes are entertaining, no point denying. Lots of talented actors, if somewhat misused. But now... the bad. Some of these characters are laughable. Badly written (the two emperor brothers for example) and some with motivation so unbelievable.

The story has 'ok' elements but overall redundant and unrefined.

  • A highly entertaining film

Just watched this so this is a very fresh take. After seeing "Bullet train". This is definitely in the same vane haha funny. Most characters are very likeable. But plot is very predictable and flat. If you're considering if you have to watch with the right expectations. A hyper stylistic funny romcom/action flick. This is also a homage to the movie industry. So some knowledge of movie culture definitely helps with getting some of the meta jokes. Some of the sets are also very good looking, it's obvious a lot of attention to the set builds and that this movie was made by people who love their job. Watch this film for a good time.
