  • The best of all worlds

Wow, this was phenomenal. Combining the best bits of all Spider-Man universes and then having a solid story and gravitas. It has the villains from Toby Spider-Man, Garfield as Spider-Man and Holland and Cumberbatch from the current Spider-Man. I can't stress enough how good this is. Possibly the best marvel movie to date.

  • I get it

They wanted a thriller where paranoia and isolation are present in the mind of a trucker. What they got was a relatively flat film with mild tension and a likeable Lead character. It's ok, the atmosphere is nice. Why the hitchhiker and the driver are American is kinda pointless unless it's a statement on nationality abroad or something. Either way. The film moves quickly enough but could be a lot better.

  • Heatwave

As where I live we are in a heatwave this movie hits closer tk home. We don't have electronics blowing up or beer bottles bursting but we share the frustration and irritability. The movie is fine, classic 60s British sci fi/ horror lord of people acting very British and stiff upper lip despite circumstance and nobody seems to be very bothered by it. If you like hammer horror you'll like it. If you don't then you can skip it.

  • It's fine

Sean Penn does well in a movie that isn't really funny, or dramatic or anything. It's just there. It reminds you of a series of critical pleasing scenes that don't resonate. For jazz lovers only.

  • Ripe for a remake

This movie was a hidden gem. Funny, great sets, fun acting and a bunch of 007 baddies with a ludicrous plot. It's madcap; it's dark, it's fun and I want to see a new version of this movie. I can't recommend this enough it was that fun!

  • Fun indie movie

A film shoot goes off the rails with non stop issues and a director who is barely keeping his sanity. This movie is quirky, funny, and raw. It's a good example Of why people like myself would not go into show business as you see the behind the scenes drama and logistics which rob movies of their inherent magic.

Highly recommend along with NOISES OFF.

  • B movie elevated by performance

It reminds me of a more poorly structured Jordan peele movie but with more over the top acting which is a big plus. It's a weird one. Thankfully it's done in a wink wink manner so it doesn't seem as cheesy bad. It would be something Netflix would make.

  • Watch anthology instead

This reminds me of a bootleg or low rent documentary you'd get as a bonus feature on a concert dvd. There is NOTHING new to be learned here but if your a beatle fan you will enjoy it. If you are an obsessive fan you will LOVE it.

  • Great acting

Fantastic music by Handel and great acting by Hawthorne and cast. The pace is good, for a historic drama it doesn't drag on and it has a good flow. Takes a generally complex historical context and simplifies it for the audience in such a way that you get the gist.

  • Serious Chan shade

This movie heavily throws shade on Jackie Chan and is a violent tornado. It's got some Good fight scenes it has a decent soundtrack and the dubbing is borderline ridiculous but in a good way overall the movie does quite well.

  • Vegetables don't grow in the shade

So upon watching this you come to a crossroads regarding the main person Sarma. Either she is completely complicit and guilty and has been told By her lawyer to paint herself as a troubled unsuspecting victim OR she proves that you can be academically gifted yet be one of the stupidest people on earth.

Now either her parents paid for her degree and she isn't that intelligent or she is so arrogant that she completely ignored basic business practices regarding her own personal finances.

This loud fat and offensive man Anthony shouldn't be able to charm His way into peoples wallets. Maybe it's cause I'm not American but when every second word is a swear and the fake bravado I wouldn't give him the time of day.

So what is it. Stupid or Corrupt and Arrogant?

  • Good albeit underwhelming

I liked it but I wouldn't heap the praise on it like others. It's good, it's got gravity to it and the performances are good but I wouldn't say it's a Oscar worthy movie in a society where there is so much available. It's got the 2000s vibe to it. With lack of ambient sound, grey tones and minimal music. Good but not great.

  • Performance is a drug

The performances are great and the atmosphere is good but the tonal structure and dialogue isn't up to par. This movie seems to be all over the place regarding how they want to feature Billie and that causes abrupt shifts in presentation. Language is another aspect that I wasn't keen on. The constant use of profanity and.racial slurs I don't think is really accurate for the time and seems more out of todays culture where we swear and are more crass. That language took me out of the film.

  • Beautiful Scenery

I was unfamiliar with the film as my wife read the book and wanted to go. The cinematography is breathtaking and the musical score is very good. This movie surprised me and I enjoyed it very much. The twist at the end I didn't see coming but I'm sure most will. Highly recommend.

  • Mindful

As it's been stated by others. This is a beautiful and simplistic film which challenges us to think about our lives and explore our own thoughts. We have all known someone whom we shared a connection that was stronger than the situation called for. Beautiful and sensitive.

  • An adult movie for those who lived

Simple concept dialogue with some scenery. Anybody who has loved and lived will relate to the moments were we just have deep conversations and memories as we reconnect, analyze and ponder our experiences. Beauty in its simplicity and gorgeous in its complex ideas.

  • Crap

So think of it as a reboot that is more of a remake but somewhat of an homage but also a sequel. Confused? Good!

The movie sucks, it's a retread of the original passed off as a sequel with its uninspired visuals and soulless presentation. Keanu is loveable because of who he is but he can't save this 2.5 hour slog.

The matrix doesn't overly hold up. The sequels certainly don't and this will go down like that weird matrix animated movie as just another film that a select few watched and even smaller Grouping actually enjoyed.

  • It's ok

It's a good standup set, doesn't compare to "you people are all the same" as it lacks a bit of the ire that he had years ago. It's solid, entertaining, it will offend but also make you think and it goes by quickly enough. My wife was laughing hard at some points but ultimately fell asleep during the "family life" segment.
