  • nailed a sensitive topic better than any modern show

(see my note at end) Brilliant storyline. The themes weren't obvious, but they they worked on so many levels that even they most unevolved people watching this that they would at the very least subconsciously learn the truth and what we should do and what we should be ashamed of.

The white guy didn't save the day, the native American was not caricature, he wasn't wrapped in stereotyes. His story was told as it likely would've been back then. Granted some of the scenes were a little bit corny, that was just the time. I just can't believe in today's PC World that current storylines cant hold a candle to this.

I love the show but it is slow paced, this is the first episode that made me do a double take and pay attention to every single scene since the conflict showed up. I was reminded so much about the truth of our history, and without oversell it the logical arguments made are unapproachable.

PS The person that reviewed this same episode giving it 6/10 stars (I think their review was titled " prejudice ") if the episode was that far beyond your expectations, why did I get a six out of 10 stars? I agree with your review 100%. Not that you'll ever see this but I'm just curious how you're reading system works : )

  • <3 men saving minorities

Always heartfelt and always male lawyers helping poor minorities understand and navigate the bigger picture while saving them from their circumstances. Never happens the other way around.

Interesting though. To see what were hot topics and acceptable back them. The stories are interesting enough to keep you watching but definitely not riveting at all.

  • No Gimmicks - No Teasers (Thoughtful & Riveting)

I had a little to know faith that the show would be different from any other crockpot show that just repeats the same thing over and over again with three seconds of footage they tease you with, then you come to find out that's all they have.

I'm not sure how it took so long to get a show about whether like this, but they nailed it. From all appearances it's respectful to the people who lost everything and the people who were lost. It also shows many different perspectives and different storms in one episode, but it's nicely tied together.

There is no part you need to fast forward, and there is no repeated footage. It gets to the point while covering a great deal more than any other series has been able to do this far in the tv era.

The footage is captured by the people who actually experienced the storm their cameos are enlightening and gutwrenching. The stories that come from the victims serve the purpose to hopefully help others stay safe in this storm.
