The ignorance of how they portrayed the landowners to be towards oil and gas is possibly right on... however the ignorance of the writers of this movie who don't understand a lick about the oil and gas industry and how it's used in literally everything is impeccable. I mean "Waah my father is drinking again " as the daughter comes home drunk from a party and finds him passed out. She's not five years old or anything. Grow up. When did kids start being superior to their parents? It's a pretty good movie all in all and I like Steve Zahn and even the actress who plays the daughter just not her childish behavior.
