As the title states, I enjoyed the first half of this movie. It was a bit campy but fun overall. And then nothing really interesting happened in the second half of the movie. It felt like someone else directed it?
Almost felt like the entire budget was spent on the first half of the movie so they had no more money to wrap it up properly.

This movie sounds fantastic on paper I am sure, brilliant even. But on the big screen it just didn't translate well. Maybe if it was done by some other director it would have worked.
The camera angles are atrociously bad, the dialogue delivery is cringe especially in the beginning. The "monsters" are shown way too often for them to have any kind of effect.

28 Years Later started great, amazing even. First half is brilliant. The tension is great, the environment and cinematography are fantastic. The only nitpick is the arrow shots, they are too video gamey. Every time someone uses a bow and arrow, it goes slow motion with a rotating camera. A weird effect, but it's whatever.
The second half completely dives off the cliff. It pretty much drops everything zombie related and turns into a family drama mixed with cringe comedy bits. And the epilogue... I am not gonna spoil it but the last 5 minutes made me think that a completely different movie started by accident.
Overall I gave it 6/10, the first half was 10/10, the second was very bad.
