The concept of branch was never even thought about. Infantry epaulets, cavalry Stetson insignia. The same with every "soldier." 2873 rifles in 1965? Comanches and apaches in apparently a very Canadian rocky-ish Missouri? The three kids are siblings and the children of the writer/producer, so their acting was flat awful. Nobody else's was much better. Basically, describing this as a project t of passion or some such nonsense should not mean casting historical accuracy to the wind. In was really surprised a jet plane didn't fly by and get worked into the preposterous story. We did have fun making fun of the dialogue and adding our own, such as "we'll have a farm with horses, cattle, sheep... AND ORTHODONTIA FOR YOU KIDS, BECAUSE... DAYYYYUMMM!" As we all one, the army hang every Union soldier 40 acres and a mule or something... 😆😂🤣
IMDB's cast listing is incorrect for this series. Robbie Kay is listed as Pinocchio but he plays another character. Thomas Sangster plays the title role. Kay famously played an evil Peter Pan in the Once Upon a Time franchise, and his image is used on the poster, so hence the confusion, but he plays the humanized puppet's questionable "friend" in this short-lived series. Excellent actor, as is Sangster, and their chemistry is great. A couple of years earlier, Kay would have been an excellent Pinocchio because of his elf-like appearance, and Wilkow knows if he had ever donned the strings a play or two. But not this time.

Your claim that it is illegal to depict military uniforms, insignia, etc. accurately in a film is a myth created by Hollywood, which is simply too lazy and uncaring to get it right.
There is not and never has been such a law or regulation. Please stop spreading nonsense as an excuse for production companies' shoddy research and sloppy costume design.
P.S. I am a retired 30 year Air Force colonel and was an executive producer myself. I know of what I speak from both sides.

The show is very charming and funny. The cast is likeable and talented. It's great to see that Michael Cudlitz survived the Lucille beat down from that other show. Jack Gore and Chris Richards play brothers for the second time (Billions in 2016...) and are far and away the best of this ensemble cast.
I was a kid in the 70s and while they don't really nail that era (news flash: neither did "That 70s Show" or any other "period piece"...) it's still a pleasant diversion from the hard core political and liberal preaching and brainwashing that passes for comedy these days. Give it a try.

Now more than ever, we need a SitCom that the entire family can enjoy. Couple it with a story about the family of a military member, trying to cope with yet another deployment, and it is a perfect story for our times.
Shot entirely in North Texas, this is just the beginning for this show. Taking full advantage of the considerable talents of Dancer/Singer/Musician/Actor Arcadian Broad, Dancer/Actress Teanna Rose, and the formidable Actress Nancy Chartier, this ensemble cast has formed a true family on set and in personal life. Currently being reviewed by talent-seekers in Los Angeles and New York, we are optimistically predicting great things from the humble beginnings of this Pilot.
Please keep this show on your watch-lists and follow it on Facebook and Twitter as well.
