I thought the beginning was going to be the only scripted part like other comedy specials, but the whole thing is scripted, and not very well. The only parts that are kind of funny are the songs. I'm not sure if we're supposed to act like it is real and watch it like that, or we're supposed to know it's scripted. It's very bizarre and kind of depressing watching because I really enjoyed his last stand up special. I was waiting for some sort of twist where it's supposed to be a movie or something, but it never happened. Watching this actually made me feel really uncomfortable. I feel like I'm living in an alternate reality watching this. Not sure how else to put it.
I've been a huge MMA fan for the last 15 years, and I've never even heard about this show. I only just found it on Netflix, and it is amazing. All the actors are incredible, and the story will keep you watching for days on end. I honestly have to blame the network it was on for failing. I've never heard of that channel at all. It's too bad, this show had the potential to keep going, and it honestly deserves it.
I recommend this show to all MMA fans.
I recommend this show to all MMA fans.
It started off good and then it just reached a point where it seems like Dave Franco stopped writing the script.
