Slow moving, beautifully photographed and acted, exquisitely crafted love story. One for the ages. Make no mistake about it, this is a profoundly moving motion picture experience that defies all expectations. The cumulative effect of using unknow actors. An achingly slow pace and a naked score (you will know it when you hear it) assures you will pay attention to the subtleties and nuances of the plot, the anguish of the characters and the final denouement. This is not for modern day action junkies nor attention deficit disorder victims. Huge wordless spaces between fragments of dialogue will alienate modern day adventure junkies who need a jolt every ten seconds. This is an exquisite filme.
Insipid script, gorgeous cinematography, couldn't wait for it to end. Hang on for the finale if you are challenged to find out what the film is all about. Don't expect satisfaction for what is a vanity piece that offers little in the way of humor, cleverness or charm. Probably their worst film. Thumbs way down.
Marvelous film, inspiring story, and a game cast. Uniting Brenda Vaccarro, Lorraine Bracco, Susan Sarandon and Talia Shire was casting genius. The entire cast is like a big family. Vince Vaughn triumphs so gracefully in this role you might think it's AI but it isn't. And just having Joe Manganiello around adds immeasurably to the film's beauty. Bravo. I wish them much success and I hope this film finds its audience.
