Over the years I have read several books on Bundy but, this program was very inciteful especially, the testimonies of his brother and some of the victims' loved ones. The only positives to come of this horror was the cooperation of law enforcement agencies and the in-depth personality traits Bob Keppel was able to winnow out of Bundy's twisted psyche.
I don't get it, I guess, because I cannot help but conclude this show makes absolutely zero sense to me. I tried to like it but, I just cannot. This didn't come after only one episode rather after season 1 & half of season 2. Personally, the only saving grace was the appearance of RuPaul who delivered a stellar performance, as always, as Dr Labcoat. I have no clue where the humour is that previous reviewers commented on as it eluded me completely and I enjoy a good laugh just as much as the next person. Maybe I simply do not have as firm a grasp on current events as I believe I do. Again, what is the point, is there a message here, if so, it's as elusive as quality animation.
My, my, my, so many armchair movie makers... it's truly astounding. I grew up watching the classic Universal Studios black & white film as reruns on television. Therefore, I must say, there is something that those classic movies had that seems lacking in contemporary fair: what I mean is that I'm not sure some of our era films will still be viewed 80, 70, or 60 years from now. Exactly what is lacking , I'm not sure I can pinpoint, although this remake did a damn fine job of capturing the mood of the original. It's a simple story, told well and I loved that so much of the original material was kept despite some changes to the tale. I found this movie dark, foreboding, sprinkled with a dash of tragedy. My final conclusion is that, if you liked the original, see this one. If you have not seen the original then I implore you to do so before making up your mind about this remake.
