A fresh remake of a familiar story,Fantastic Four hits the feel of the Ultimate Fantastic Four comics and treats the content seriously,unlike the 2005 version. The characters are given more of a human feel,with similar but complex emotions as opposed to the 'sci-fi geek' stereotype rampant within the genre. Sue,Reed and Johnny are all highly intelligent students at the Baxter Building ,a think tank / school for scientifically gifted young adults. They embark on a quest to discover a new world which of course ,goes awry.

This film gives the series a more professional tone to the characters and avoids what the first Fox films failed at. This 2015 film treats the characters in a realistic light,making Sue a respected ,intelligent and caring person,Johnny is reckless but dedicated when a goal is before him, and Ben Grimm reacts to his changes in a much more morose manner. Reed Richards is a wide eyed kid amazed by discovering he is not alone and there are other intellects like his.

A good remake that takes a different take to the superhero film genre.

Advertised as a reunion,one would assume that meant all the classic class of comedians coming back to do their old skits from the past 40 years... maybe a gathering of all the US presidents , Eddie Murphy doing his Mr Rogers,or at least the Land Shark.

Instead the viewers are subjected to a 3 hour long ad for the current series filled with "jokes" and "skits" by the recent cast members that are barely watchable. Three full hours with poor acting,unfunny jokes, bad timing and terrible guest stars. The true stars of Saturday Night Live were wasted as host roles,2 second flash backs,or merely sat in the audience cringing.

If you want to appreciate the 40 years of the show,watch reruns of the show from the 70's and 80's and pass on this drivel.

The worst movie ever made. At least the worst biography ever made. One would assume by watching a Gregor Mendel biography movie,you would learn about the life,works,and spirituality of Gregor Mendel but alas,the writer of this movie thought otherwise. Instead of background for the title subject,the movie focuses on the lives of characters in mid-19th century Austria who have little to no connection with Mendel at all- Fr Mendel being reduced to a back ground character with some pseudo science talk to explain his life's work in founding genetic research. Half way through the film and all the viewer will know about Mendel is that he was a priest who spent a lot time with pea pods. The lives of the other characters take the focal point but even there we know of no reason for them being there-absolutely no character development or any sign of a plot in sight. Truly a terrible movie and a waste of opportunity to make a film about a great pastor /scientist.
