Finally saw Dear Zindagi. I hope this one isn't as exaggerated as my previous reviews. Gauri Shinde is a really brilliant director, she knows how make good characters by casting perfect actors in them. Alia Bhatt plays the role of a life time. She is excellent through out the movie. The character has extreme depth and very well written. Her performance is almost as good as her role in Udta Punjab if not better. Shah Rukh Khan is a breath of fresh air. Right from the first scene to his final scene. His and Alia Bhatt's chemistry was brilliant. Great Role by him. Ali Zafar, Kunal Kapoor, Angad Bedi and Aditya Roy Kapur are extremely well placed and help Kiara's story move forward. Pluses- Story, Acting, Cinematography, Second half, The scenes which feature Srk and Alia. The family moments of Kiara and her family, her Friends. The execution of the entire movie from event to event. The whole final act which leaves you in a happy mood. The breakdown sequence. The maturity in the direction which takes the movie into a new level. The Dialogues given to SRK. Negatives- The music is good but isn't great. The Editing in the first half could have been better. If you have enjoyed movies like Wake Up Sid, Kapoor and Sons Rockstar, Queen, English Vinglish . Go for this one. One of the best movies of the year. Something which has come kind of close to Udta Punjab.

Ae Dil Hai Mushkil shows why Ranbir Kapoor is one of the finest actors in the country, all he needs is a half a decent script and a good director. He is the one who takes a good Movie into a memorable one. He is charming, confident, makes you cry, makes you laugh. Makes you feel and he is a stand up guy. He emotes very well in the songs. Channa Mereya is the highlight of the movie. Every time the song plays. Ranbir Kapoor is brilliant in each and every moment of Channa Mereya! Song of the year! Anushka Sharma is as usual excellent in her role. Comfortable in her role. Confident and calm. Watch out for the juggal bandi of the old songs. A highlight. She killed it. Aishwarya Rai is extremely beautiful in her role. Her shayaris are brilliant. Lisa Haydon is hilarious in her role. So is Imran Abbas. Fawad Khan is decent. Has a single look in the entire movie and is mostly in the background. The scene which has Shahrukh Khan, Aishwarya and Ranbir is the best sequence in the entire movie.. Ek tarfa pyaar ki taqat.... The music by Pritam is excellent. Even the clothing, Cinematography, Production level, Editing, Friendzoning skills - Killed it. This is a very Hi- fi love story. Private Jets, DJs, Party, Everyone with Gold IPHONES, rich parents, successful in life. Everyone is just unsuccessful in love. Karan Johar man! Overall, a beautifully well made movie with some powerful performances and great music. Keep up the good work Karan Johar.

Pretty much one of the best moments of the movie. Massive goosebumps. Ms Dhoni The Untold Story - Is a fantastically made movie which is like two sides of the same coin. The first half which shows why Neeraj Pandey is one of the best directors in the country. While the second half shows why Neeraj Pandey should never make a love story. The movie's main strength is clearly Sushant Singh Rajput who shines in every scene. He has captured the essence of the calm and composed Dhoni and portrayed it brilliantly. The first of the movie is stunning, brilliantly acted, poor special effects with some great dialogues and excellent direction by Neeraj Pandey. The cricketing aspect of Dhoni is so well done. It shows that there is always a team behind a person who is successful. An ode to friendship, struggles, responsibility, compromise and facing life regardless of the unexpected turns and twists. I was in awe how well connected the movie was. Moving from one point to another so effortlessly. Neeraj Pandey's best hour in cinema. The second half starts of well but the two love stories really bring down the movie. The Actresses are likable and all. WTF Neeraj Pandey but the movie moved at a steady pace nevertheless. It was like living the past. The famous India-Pakistan series where Dhoni shines. A lot of moments. It was like a Pleasant flashback. The performances in the movie are brilliant. Sushant Singh Rajput as Dhoni. What a performance! Not his best, I feel Kai Po Che was better. He was seamless, cool, composed, confident. Just like MSD. He breaks down in one scene. Which was brilliant. The Supporting Star Cast is brilliant.Every Actor in the supporting role. FANTASTIC!!! They are a lot of them. Everyone was brilliant. The actresses were strictly average. The music was decent. The movie is a solid 8-8.5/10. The love angles and the bad special effects in the first half are the only things which could have been improved. You'll love it if you loved cricket. You'll like it if you love good cinema.
