...left with an existential crisis.
This movie seems to predict the era of loneliness when communicating has never been as easy. It deals with themes of relationships, depression and suicide.
It does, however, in a painfully slow way. So if you're looking for lots of action and ghosts all around, this is definitely not the movie you're looking for.

We've been knew to the story. You'll probably predict most of it. Yet, it is very well shot. Dialogue seems kind of dull at times, but it is interesting they leave up some elements to interpretation. Don't put it on the top of your priority list, but it will most likely entertain you if you give it a try.
Having finished the series not a minute ago, I was compelled to write a review, even though I'm not used to in my 10 years in this site. What was, at first, a desire to "jumpscares" and horror "vibes" in this Halloween season, became an incredible surprise of elements way more important and deep than any of that. For the horror, you see, is not in any grotesque image that may appear on screen; it lies in the ties and knots among family and those close to us. It lies in the secrets we keep and must be kept.
The Haunting of Hill House has a subtle plot line, a set of interesting and curious characters and an involving storytelling. All I have to warn - you'll probably binge on it.
