One thing the B99 never fails to impress with are the heist episodes. I cannot remember many TV shows that can sustain a great running gag episode over 6 years! (Friends failed with thanksgiving sometimes)
Excellent over the top plot but without being plain and guessable and right about enough twists so that you don't start losing the plot or interest. I had high expectations for heist episodes and they went above expectations. Had me laughing out loud for more than 15 minutes out of a 20 min runtime.
A 1000 times better than the last episode where it was funny for a grand total of 30 seconds.
The only bad thing was that I wanted even more of it! Extremely rewatchable!
I guess the writers are doing a fan(millenials) service by bringing in Gina for another episode (rolling eyes). The scenes with Holt were the only saving grace and even they were not enough to save it with some over the top thinking. Brooklyn nine nine is never about being over the top. They do the over the top plot or writing for the comedic chops. This season could have done without this episode.
Return of the king? Disgrace to 11 oscars winning LOTR!
