This is an excellent horror anime. The plot is very strong and with every episode becomes more and more profound and disturbing. The characters are all very interesting and relateable, each in their own strange way. There is ample gore and graphic imagery, with a few of the most imaginative/shocking deaths I've witnessed in a series. One of its shortcomings could be argued to be its duration (only four episodes) but at the same time, it stays fresh, non repetitive and easy to watch in a single sitting. There are a couple of minor plot holes and a few ideas that are toyed with but not fully developed but they don't take a significant tole on the quality of the anime. Warning: not for the squeamish
A beautiful story that fundamentally speaks of the different types of love one can encounter, and the loneliness that stems from lack of them.
The plot is centered around three characters; Henri, Frank and Michele. Each character starts off in a particular state, Henri appears to enjoying his solitude, Michele seems to be enjoying the company of a number of men and Frank seems frustrated in his loneliness but over the course of the film, the relationships between the characters evolve.
The movie climaxes, as the relationships of the three men reach their ultimate forms and the audience is left to ponder on differences between possessive love, romantic love and altruistic love.
The powerful sexual imagery, being used as a form of narration, only manages to make the take home message stronger. stronger.

I haven't enjoyed a movie so much for a while. I usually love Steve Carel but in this movie I hated him... in a good way. Great cast, great performances, great story. the only thing I would have enjoyed done differently would be developing some of the side characters a bit more. Particularly Lewis, Jim Rash's character, i.e. the flipping DEAN *I just have so much love for this man* As I need to write at least 10 lines let me go in a bit more detail and praise this gem a little more. Great humor. Sam Rockwell keeps delivering line after line and his chemistry with Maya Rudolph is superb. I was also impressed by the star struck cast. I mean this movie is filled to the brim with brilliant actors. Lovely portrayal of the fears facing a single mother trying to find love again by Toni Collete. The compromises needed to be made, the mistakes that are sometimes unavoidable, the difficulty to balance your responsibility towards your child and your desire for love and fun. I could go on for hours but I don't want to spoil the journey this movie is bound to take you on. Enjoy.
