I'm a TV addict and a book addict. I love stories, good well written stories. This is one of those series that you will want to see every minute of. The Proudmans are a family of brilliantly developed characters with quirks and flaws and vulnerabilities that make you laugh, cry and question your own relationships. Personally I would have loved to have had a family that was so connected with each other, that could forgive and get on with life. The Proudmans do it again and again and their relationships are stronger for it. Even Mick's dog Rocket is a well developed character, you'll love him.

Maybe I love it so much because my favorite aunt was from Melbourne. She was funny, kind and quirky too.

I have a confession to make. This is the fourth time I've watched this fabulous series.

I waited to watch this for no reason other than I had a feeling it would be great. It is. The main characters are a family with their own set of rules. The actors all have chemistry with each other and it makes them believable and likable. The family dynamics, to me, were more important than the cases. The cases are done with humor which makes them entertaining. Don't worry there's plenty of action, car chases and OMG a now what's going to happen moments in every episode.

The location, Newfoundland is beautiful and made me want to know more about it and the people who live there. It was a main character.

I was very sorry to see this series end. I would have watched more seasons. Now what am I going to watch?
