Phil LaMarr and Mako in Samurai Jack (2001)

These are the best, at least of what I have seen. I haven't forgotten Summer Wars, Mind Game, or the Girl Who Leapt Through Time. I liked them, but one was too crazy for crazy's sake and two were too dramatic, way way too dramatic. Lots of panning, lots of slow shots.

If you only see a few Japanese animated movies/OVA, watch these

The best written and animated and original ideas that Japanese animation has produced. Spare the comments about not including One Piece, Naruto, DBZ, Bleach and the like- anything that includes that much filler and is intended for children (and they are- as in the intended audience is pre-teen). Only TV series, no movies. Too hard to compare.
