Good acting. Good story. Good amount of gore. One negative..the reason behind the study. Way over the top. Overly ambitious and unrealistic. Movies like this have been done before. They've been done much better. The Killing Room would be an example. I take (and rate/compare) this movie for what it is. Low budget horror with unknown actors (besides Baldwin) and a pretty cool script. The movie has some bumps. You will roll your eyes a couple times during the Baldwin scenes. Other than that, no real complaints. The ending was especially well done. It doesn't take the easy route like most. I find the low rating bizarre. All I watch are horror movies. I've seen it all. I've seen plenty that deserve a 3. This isn't one of them. 8/10 on a low budget horror scale 5.5/10 horror in general scale
Watched Bunnyman and Bunnyman 2 (Bunnyman Massacre) tonight. I had always passed over the movies just based on the title. I imagined an extremely corny movie. It wasn't. It was surprisingly raw and brutal. There is no humor to it like the name might lead you to believe. It is a legit slasher. I see a lot of negative reviews. I have to assume most of them aren't hardcore horror fans nor do they watch many indie, low budget ones. And yes, 9/10 is an absurd grade for the movie but I compared it to indie horror and this is top notch in that category. Bottom line, if you're looking for a fun 90 minutes (or 180 if you wanna check out the first), I think you will dig it.
I passed over this movie a bunch of times, mainly because the title "Bunnyman" just screamed bad. However, I finally watched it as I was running low on options. I watch a lot of horror. The movie is surprisingly good by horror standards. Not scary, just brutal and fun. I expected it to be corny based on the title alone. It was nothing like I expected. It borrows (or rips) from Texas Chainsaw. I'm fine with that. I don't get the negative reviews. It's no Halloween or Suspiria, granted. However, for an indie horror flick it is pretty good. The sequel is even better. Check it out if you enjoyed this (though it seems most of you didn't). P.S. I realize an 8/10 is a bit absurd but I'm rating it purely on an indie horror scale. If you're a horror fan, you know most indie films are awful. This is an exception.
