The plot is not believable. The acting isn't great. The scenery is spectacular. There are some familiar actors who try to make the most of what they've been given. The sound track is creepy.... it scared my little dog. If only the creature had eaten the guy playing the photographer. And, of course, they had to sneak in the myth of global warming.
So now we're not allowed to use the word hysterical?!?
I really wanted to like this show since there has been a dirth of good medical shows in the past few years.
Zachary Quinto is fine as the renegade neurologist but, with the exception of his face blindness, he's not different from House, or the Resident, or even Marcus Welby MD.
The students are literally wide eyed every time he speaks and every 3rd pontification has political undertones.

Can't we please have one movie that doesn't have LGBTQ overtones? I've read about these murders, lived in Fall River, and have seen many other shows about the murders.
The acting here is nothing spectacular. The costumes are beautiful, though, and if I had to live through a New England summer in long sleeves and high collars, I might have wanted to hatchet someone.
The Lizzie Borden house is now a bed and breakfast.
See the original with Elizabeth Montgomery as the titular LB.
