I really enjoyed this movie. I thought that it was light-hearted and fun, making it perfect for the holidays. In typical 'Lifetime' style, it leaves just enough room for you to think about how your life choices effect your future and that, ultimately, family really is the most important thing. A great movie about love and forgiveness, which is just what everyone needs during the Holiday Season. Keep in mind that this a "fluffy" Romantic-Comedy/Family movie, so don't expect too much. However, I felt that the acting was superb, though I am quite biased, because I think that Shiri Appleby generally excels in every role that she is given. Nevertheless, I certainly recommend this film!
I read the book 'Before I Die' years ago (and many times since), so when I started watching this movie, all I could think about was how the book and the movie didn't match up. However, this movie does not disappoint!
It is extremely beautiful and Dakota Fanning does a great job as a girl who is trying to come to terms with a terminal illness. This is not a movie you should watch if you're in the mood for "light" Friday night-viewing. It is sad. I cried a lot, but not in such a way that I felt depressed once the final credits started rolling. Think more along the lines of "My Sister's Keeper."
This is certainly joining my personal DVD collection! :)

I was a bit skeptical about this film, as a coworker of mine spoiled the ending, but I decided to give it a try due to the well-known cast, and I am not in the least disappointed that I did. Gywneth Paltrow gives what may be one of her best performances yet, which is saying a lot for such a superb actress. Her character is genuine, beautiful and heartbreaking. The storyline is fantastic, and even though I am not a big fan of Country Music, the music in this film is amazing.
Not only does Paltrow give a fascinating performance, but her co-stars were just as dedicated and honest. I didn't want the film to end, but once the credits started rolling, I had no regrets that I had watched this movie, and was surprised at how utterly realistic and true the story was.
Worth a watch!
