  • Poor decisions all around

Unnecessary on-screen narration. Poorly executed introduction of characters. Crew is too large. Setup of plot is generic. Computers that make beep and boop sounds. Does anybody who works on these movies actually study the first two Alien movies to understand what makes them so good, or do they just not care about bastardizing them at this point? This is a money grab, just like Romulus. Nothing special at all.

  • Maybe the first episode of a series, but not filmworthy

Movies like this frustrate me. The production value and story potential are massive, but it ends with zero satisfaction to me as an audience member. Nothing is resolved and nothing really happens. It's a family of people making independently bad decisions and that's about it. If i wanted to watch that I could watch the people living next door to me. It's boring and not unique. If that's the point of this movie then, IMHO, that is bad art. Movies should inspire feelings, not put you to sleep.

  • These reviews are ridiculous, movie is great

You have to be an idiot to compare this movie to eyes wide shut or 50 shades of gray. This isn't even about those themes at all, it's something completely different.

If you watch the entire movie, and have half a brain, you should see that there is something very special happening in this story that you wont find anywhere else.

The characters are enigmatic, and so is the timeline. It seems straightforward at first but, as it moves, memories and fantasies seem to become reality and vice versa. By the end it's clear what the story really was about. Some people call it a twist, but i don't see it as a surprise ending, i see it as everything coming together to complete a puzzle.

The cast is extremely talented, and ther two female leads are more than mere eye candy, they're perfect for the roles. The costume and set design are more than i could ask for, i felt i was really there. The screenplay is near perfect and the cinematography complements it well.

If you need something different to watch, this is it.
