The movie "Waltz with Bashir" is a documentary-style film where an Israeli soldier/filmmaker digs into his lost memories from the 1982 Lebanon War. In 2025, it's tough not to view this movie as Israeli propaganda, especially with Israel's ongoing efforts to wipe out Palestinians across the Middle East.
Director Ari Folman scores points with this documentary because he uses original animation to tell HIS version of the invasion of Lebanon.
The most ironic part is that once again, an Israeli conveniently forgets the truth about Israel's role in the Sabra and Shatila massacre.
It seems that Israel has never learned, and never will, the suffering its people endured, and it seems they are always seeking revenge.
"Israel, time to stop!"

The movie "We Live in Time" is a drama/romance that's all about time, memory, and the pain of loss. Director John Crowley tells the story in a non-linear way, jumping between the past and present, which keeps the film interesting as we piece together what's coming next.
The plot is pretty predictable, like something straight out of a Hallmark Channel movie.
Florence Pugh as Almut and Andrew Garfield as Tobias have good chemistry, but since it's such a tearjerker, they come off as a bit distant and flat in a lot of scenes.
This is one of those British classic "Notting Hill" or "About Time" style movies, a simple story about love, loss, and healing.

The movie "Titane" is a wild, body-horror thriller about a woman with a titanium plate in her head who spirals into a dangerous obsession with cars and her own identity.
Director Julia Ducournau came up with a totally unique story that mixes the cold, hard edge of metal with raw human emotions and eroticism. It's a brutal movie to watch, and the director did it intentionally, showing no mercy to the audience.
Actress Agathe Rousselle as Alexia nails the coldness and brutality of the character, delivering a performance that's unforgettable.
However, the movie does have its weak spots and feels a bit disjointed, especially in the second half.
