I love British detective/murder shows. There are many more that rate higher than this one. But, this was a delight to watch. I am a big Kris Marshall fan and the"ginger beanpole" did not disappoint. My favorite character though was DCI Turner played brilliantly by Tim Woodward. He was witty and quick with responses and I loved when he called Laura Main, DC Alison Bain the "Scottish girl". His character was well written and I wish he had had more screen time.

Murder City could be revived today with new characters and new stories. But, the writing should remain the same. The witty banter between the main characters is perfect!

I admit I wasn't sure I would enjoy this series after hearing the unconventional music and the not so period costumes. But I soon realized it really didn't matter. The men and women are gorgeous and the costumes were outstanding. I binged this series and when I came to the end I wished there were more episodes. Although loosely based on history it was still informative. Accuracy doesn't always matter. There are documentaries for that. This series is purely for entertainment purposes and is thoroughly enjoyable. Who knew there were so many gorgeous male and female actors from Canada and Australia?

This was a pretty good series. I was hesitant to watch because dubbing is usually horrible. But this was quite good and not distracting. Costumes and sets were spot on.
