I thoroughly enjoyed this show. I was quite disappointed to see that there were only two seasons of Boomers. I'm assuming that there might be some stark differences in what is considered to be funny in the US versus what is deemed humorous in the UK as I noticed a lot of poor reviews for this title. I guess that might explain the show not making it past two seasons. That, or the writers were just ahead of their time as I am watching this 10 years after it was created. I rated it a 9/10 as the pace of the show does seem to slow done at times, but overall, the writing, the acting, and the chemistry amongst the cast mates were wonderful.
No Spoilers here, the surprises are part of what make this movie so good. It's the perfect, un-perfect love story. The main character learns how to love, and love herself. Which is a nice turn from some traditional Christmas love stories. But THAT is not the surprise ending that I mentioned before. If you stay till the end, you will see that a lot of thought was put into the story line and that all is not what it seems. I would say that the unexpected turn of events was a huge determining factor in my high rating of this movie. It was jaw dropping, really, and in my opinion, a really good movie.
