Aesthetically relatively well done, but the plot is paper thin, there's barely a story there at all, and the dialogue regularly reaches the level of cringe we used to get in the late 90s, when movie companies hadn't figured out how to make a good comic movie yet.
This movie felt more like a way for Marvel to shove a bunch more characters in to the franchise, just in case they want to use them later, rather than actually having a story to tell.
It's just a never-ending conga line of "Look, we got that guy!" while the actors playing them shuffle in and halfheartedly read out their lines.
All in all, pretty disappointing.

There isn't much of a movie here. It's yet another vanity project by a man who has compared himself to the likes of Spielberg, Kubrick and Godard without ever producing anything that approaches those three in terms of quality.
It's not a particularly clever story (as much as there is one to begin with), it's not particularly interestingly shot, it doesn't seem to have much of a message to tell. There's just nothing here beyond a balding middle-aged director yelling "Hey! Look at how great I am!" for 80 minutes straight., and pretending that's somehow deep and controversial.
But hey, the girls are pretty. That's something, I guess.
