As a former foster
This movie is very relatable. Haven't seen it in YEARS. But...unfortunately, it is in my head. I don't need to see it over and over again. I know. I feel.
The foster care system, is messed up in this country. Be it California, Washington, or Florida. They do not care for children, they don't care if siblings stay together or if they are even in the same school district.
They also don't care about a child's happiness. So, when you sit down to watch this movie, realize that a foster is probably not happy in his placement. That parent really doesn't care. I had amazing parents and got torn away, because I am an "Indian." Their words...

It is more difficult to listen to. But it makes excellent use of reality when it comes to those people that mean to do harm to others. If you are anti capital punishment, it is a good movie to watch to understand why it should continue. If you are pro execution, then it is a great movie. For all you TTUN fans you'll like it because a sweatshirt has that name on it. There aren't many happy moments. It's a provocative movie. It is a also a movie in which you NEED to read John Grishams book of the same name. Excellent book by the way.
There are no sunshine and rainbows in this. Watch it...then do it again.
