George Henare is the heart of the film yet not even mentioned. Really disappointed in the caliber of promotion and reviews this movie has received. I see it as a thought provoking combination of Bubba HoTep, Babadook and Relic.
One of the tenderest scenes in recent memory between Rush and Henare. Lithgow fleshed out the villain perfectly, fleshing out the evil literally - its form and formation arising from hints and the arc of his mannerisms.
I could watch this movie repeatedly over time, seeing more with each viewing. But for right now, I'm still annoyed at the perfunctory commentary about this film in general. And in particular the omission of Henare's low-key stunning portrayal of the co-hero. Would NOT have had the same resonance without him.

... but really are injecting bleach and eating their own limbs. From opposite-land where truth has nothing to do with facts and the most prized degree is in narcissistic psychopathy, with minors in methods of coercive control and projection. Makes sense that the director and main actress have this sole "credit."
This tripe is a love letter to those in thrall to Abomination, a snake issuing forth rivers of lies. An imbecile of low cunning, who would rather destroy an entire postal service than allow an election to happen. Lawd save us from the orange-t@rds.
