I found this movie to be extremely high on emotion. Every scene just feels intense. This feels like watching a play more than a movie with almost all of it being inside Charlie's living room and with a small roster of characters.
The acting is spot on from each actor. Brendan Fraser deserves every bit of praise he has been getting. But even Hong Chau (Liz) has done a phenomenal job.
Every character is well written. Even Dan the pizza man from Gambino's who you see on the screen for under 5 seconds was a good role.
Every character you see on screen makes you wonder what sort of person the are, why are they acting and saying what they are. The movie answers every question you have in quite a subtle manner.

I wanted to like this movie, I really did !
It is hard to pinpoint exactly what went wrong and where, but this movie just does not really meet any expectations. If you go in with the expectation of watching a masterpiece like In Bruges you will be sorely disappointed.
Let me start by stating the main positive: The acting from every single person involved is absolutely brilliant. The premise itself was engaging and you really wanted to know what would happen.
Other than that nothing else in this movie was worth noting or remembering. You don't really like or relate to any character as they are either extremely stupid or psychotic (and not in a funny or charming way). The story itself doesn't really go anywhere and it seems as if they started making the movie without really planning how things were going to pan out.

Brilliant follow-up to the first movie which itself was amazing.
The whole movie builds towards a few major twists towards the end of the movie. The plot twist itself works extremely well and ties up the entire movie(s) making the movie worth watching.
There were so many part of it that could have been better or removed altogether, like: 1. Other than Ajay Devgn the whole family does just one thing: being scared while sitting in the same frame. That's all they are there for.
2. They tried hard to make Akshaye Khanna's character cool and smart. The end result is just laughable. Right from the first scene where he 'plays' chess all by himself just looking at the board you know for a fact his character is not well written
3. Unnecessary fillers: Songs though only a few, are not good and the movie would have been better without them. Some scenes like Akshaye visiting the Salgaonkar household was a long and stupid scene. Some dialogues and slow-mo's are again added thinking they make the characters cooler, but were cringy instead.
