  • IMDb screwed up the listing of Megan Anderson

The Megan Anderson who is in this movie is the Megan Anderson who plays Jen Carcetti on HBO's "The Wire" and took home 2003's Baltimore City Paper "Best Actress" award for her performance in the Everyman Theatre production of "Proof" which was reprised in 2005 (summer) at Totem Pole playhouse.

This is NOT the Megan Anderson who was web designer for Kevin Williamson.

Other than that, Mike Flanagan is known as a challenging Baltimore director and will often cast locals for his movies. It is surprising we have not seen more from Flanagan lately given the re-emergence of Baltimore as an arts center, with "The Wire" and Emmy-winning "Something the Lord Made" having been filmed in Baltimore.

  • Great Comedy

This movie is just hilarious. It introduces newcomer Ron Livingston to the movie-going public in a terrific, carefree straight-man role to the stereotypical boss played by Tim Daly and the over-enthusiastic manager of a then-TGI-Fridays-similar restaurant.

Stephen Root is hysterical as the ultimate hero of the movie, Milton, but all the supporting cast--- and even the office--- are funny.

Supposedly, after the movie came out and piloried TGI Fridays and their over-emphasis on buttons they call "flair" the restaurant changed direction and changed their whole image.

Jennifer Aniston is great in this movie as well as Peter's girlfriend and this film helped move people away from the perception that she was just a "Friend."

Mike Judge may have been overly-crude in Beavis and Butthead, too localized in King of the Hill, but he hits a homerun with Office Space-- a comedy anyone who has ever worked in an office can relate to.

  • Blackbeard's Ghost A Brilliant Comedy

Blackbeard's Ghost is a terrific comic tale of what might happen if the great, terrible pirate captain came back but only to have a heart.

Dean Jones gives a terrific comic performance and some of the sight gags are simply incredible, particularly a scene in which Blackbeard (Ustinov) makes the roulette table miraculously successful for Jones.

This has always been a Disney classic, but I would venture to say it should be considered a comedy classic in general.

I saw this first when I was about 10 and have loved it ever since.
