As a lover of both Chinese food and Hong King which I've visited several times during the last forty years this was a great combination for me, plus throw in a few very well known celebrities to come up with the perfect recipe for a food travelogue programme!
Jeremy has a warm friendly personality and is an expert chinese food chef as well as knowing the best places to eat in Hong Kong.
Jeremy also provides an intetesting insight to the places to visit and much of the history of the island too. For anyone thinking of visiting Hong Kong this is a worthy watch or even if like me you are a chinese food fanatic.

Season 1 was very good, good cast, good scripr and believable. However, season 2 changed complexion completely, literally, suddenly poor actors were introduced, the cast became multi national, the script went downhill and ghe needless violence increased ten fold. I stuck with it hoping season three would return to the previous standard and be more believable yet once again it stepped up the violence, became even more amateur and even less believable. There are ridiculous gunfights all over London yet the Police are nowhere to be seen and leading characters get shot multiple times yet manage to stagger around and fjlly recover within an hour. I assume this will conclude the series or are we to be punished further.
Not over impressed overall despite a very good illustrious cast. It emulates films like The Ipress File, with the lead even wearing over sized specs like Harry Palmer and Fassbender deliberately plays the part in a very wooden style. Overall the film moves slowly and the leads come over as a smug childless couple and not very endearing. I felt it would have been suited for tv rather than the big screen. Hardly an action movie and not as well written as Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy. An okay film thst dcrapes in on a six for me mainly due to the quality cast rather than the script or plot, not a film one would watch twice.
