My wife and I stumbled on to this and enjoyed it. Good story, fun romance, quirky characters, and awkward humor. The Characters are endearing. You can't not like "Spooner" or "Rose". Spooner is someone you worry about but root for. Matthew Lillard and Nora Zehetner had some really intriguing scenes together. At times it had the awkward humor of "The Office", which we liked. It also had some good Southern California references and locales (Monrovia, Oceanside, etc.) Overall it had the feel the pacing of "Bottlerocket" (by Wes Anderson with Owen Wilson) especially the whole "Manfretti Motors" angle. We were pleasantly surprised and would recommend it to those who like indie style movies with quirky characters and settings. Good movie.
