Fun, entertaining nonsense.
Put your brain in neutral and enjoy a charismatic fun film. I'd rather watch this of an evening than the majority of boring and pretentious Oscar winners.
The performances are ideal for this type of film. It has a few surprisingly heartfelt moments and some cracking one liners. The pacing is reasonable throughout and as a refreshing change it's under two hours long!
Ok so now I'm just making up the required character length (who can't a review be precise and to the point?) with a conclusion that this film was fun and a proper old school enjoyable romp. No need to be the best film in the world just a need to be enjoyable!

Ok so this isn't a 10/10 film, it's a solid 7/10. It is no where near the worst Disney ever, yes the second act drags a bit but hey the visuals are stunning, the voice cast are good and there's some great one liners. Is it predictable? Yes pretty much, but it's Disney and most Disney animated films are predictable! So I said 7/10 film so why 8/10 score? The extra point (and I think I'm probably being mean here) is that a lot of the film was made in a lockdown! The cast recorded at home, the animators were at home. They made a film over Zoom, or Teams or whatever networking tool they used. Honestly has anyone had an hour meeting online without an issue? They made an entire film like that! I'm a drama teacher and spent the last lockdown (in uk) teaching online lessons, it nearly broke me having to be IT technician to 20 odd students when things went wrong, and all I wanted was a one minute monologue. They made an entire film!!! The fact this isn't the worst (and it really isn't) is AMAZING! Anyway technical issues aside, thus us a really enjoyable film give it a go. If you hate it, sorry, if not appreciate the film for its humour, heart and that they made it during a pandemic in lockdown.
