I absolutely enjoyed watching (actually, binging on) this 6-episode Norwegian series (thank God for those English subtitles!). The comic-tragic acting is superb, the characters are well developed, and the clever plot unfolds in each episode in a way that makes the audience understand where siblings Live and Odd come from: decent parents willing to do 'the right thing if it kills them'.
The coppers appear to be complete opposites in the first episodes only to revert roles in the last one. Very enjoyable to see! First Reinert and later Judith, guess who the murderer is, but several twist of events thanks to both Odd and Live 'doing the right thing' lead to an unexpected ending.
There is, however, a crime that remains unsolved by the police - the one discovered in the roundabout accident and in which Odd became unwittingly involved later). I hope there's a Series 2 where this is solved one way or another.
The title of the series - No one dies in Skarnes - may be yet explained in Series 3 (I mean, how many of the likes of Live, her mum, and recently Reinert are there in Skarnes??)
BTW, Skarnes is an actual township in mid Norway). I used Google maps to locate the police station, the medical centre, the roundabout and, of course, the bridge, just for fun.
