The Parent Trap is a must-see for anyone, even adults!
When this movie came out I was 9 years old - now I'm 23 and STILL love it. The jokes and plots hold up well, even 13 years later. I watched this movie the other day and cannot believe how much I still enjoy it.
The soundtrack is amazing, as well. The decades-old songs work so well with this movie, which is a great surprise. The Parent Trap has one of the best soundtracks to a movie (okay I'll admit it... I own the CD and STILL listen to it in my car!)
Do yourself a favor and see this movie if you haven't already. I've never met a person who didn't like this movie. Plus, it's endearing to see Lindsay Lohan as an innocent child (though sad comparing to what she turned out to be.)
Bottom line: You won't be disappointed. 10/10

I struggled for a long time on whether or not to give The Lying Game a chance. I had been a fan of Pretty Little Liars since the start and always heard it was the better show between the two.... but that is so wrong!
The Lying Game is great, fast paced, interesting, complex, mysterious, and much more.
In my opinion, it is FAR superior to PLL: better direction, writing, actors, situations, mysteries, and more. It doesn't take THREE YEARS to find out one mystery, and doesn't leave crater-sized plot holes.
Don't get me wrong, I love PLL, but let's be honest, it has more negative aspects to it than positives. TLG is really well-rounded and progresses at a quick pace, unlike PLL that drags on without giving many answers.
PLL is now halfway through season 3 and there are STILL unanswered questions from season one. That's ridiculous.
I know a lot of people think that TLG is the "lesser" of the two shows, and I thought that initially (before I even started watching it), but really... give it a chance. It's soooo good. I thought I would be bored and disappointed with it, but I love it and latched onto it super quick, whereas I sort of had to force myself to get interesting in PLL for a couple episodes.
I always don't drift off into boredom and find things to look at online, unlike what I do EVERY episode of PLL.
Anyway, this post wasn't meant to bash PLL at all. Just thought I'd give my two-cents because I feel like people push TLG aside without giving it a chance. Figured I would recommend it to anyone looking to watch a show similar to PLL but that won't leave you disappointed.

Catfish follows around Nev and his film crew, helping love struck people expose the true identities of their online flirtations. Some of the anonymous love interests turn out to be exactly who they are... but others aren't so lucky.
I've never watched the Catfish documentary which started the TV series, but now I'm tempted to. There's something so appealing about the whole anonymous relationship thing, since it's something that's become the norm in our culture and a whole new way of dating and courtship.
I like the way the show is set up. We learn not only about the main person looking for their online friend, but we get to learn about the person behind the profile, despite them remaining anonymous to us throughout the first 30 minutes of the show. The camera work is straight forward and inviting, we even see Nev's friend Max constantly recording everything!
The only issue I have with this show is, once you have seen the outcomes of a few episodes, you will know what to expect from the rest, which kind of takes away the shock value that makes this show seem so appealing.
Great, entertaining show. 8/10

I thoroughly enjoyed this movie, as did my boyfriend. We are both huge horror/thriller fans, so we were looking forward to watching this.
Let me just say that the marketing for this film was ALL wrong. The movie is more of a thriller/suspense/mystery than a horror. Upon viewing the trailer, I thought HATEOTS would feature ghosts, a demon, or some shadow creatures. But no, there's none of that.
The movie starts off slow, with little action. You are introduced to the characters and to the main story line: the surviving son of the murdered couple, Ryan, is feared and rejected by neighbors who outcast him from social functions. Alyssa, the new girl in town, befriends him and slowly begins to develop feelings for the sensitive, tortured soul. The two grow closer, but soon Ryan's odd behavior makes Alyssa question everything about his past and their future.
The film is interestingly made, with some extremely beautiful cinematography and, at other times, some experimental, "new-age" shots. At some points, I felt the film couldn't decide what direction/genre it wanted to take. There were extremely scary/gory parts (the beginning), suspense bits (the end), and dream-like sequences (the end).
The movie was also somewhat predictable. If you've seen particular movies with "twists" at the end, in all likelihood, you'll know how this one ends. I guessed a large part of the mystery after about 20 minutes but the twist is so complex that I didn't have the rest figured out until the end.
If I could compare this movie to another one, it reminded me A LOT of Disturbia (with Shia Labeouf). I love that movie, so it made HATEOTS even better :-)
I would recommend this movie interested in suspense/thriller/mystery movies. If you go into watching this movie thinking you'll see Friday the 13th, Saw, Hostel, or a Possession type movie with a lot of blood, scares, and creepy moments, you'll be disappointed. This movie is creepy for what it is, and it's quite enjoyable. 8/10

For the people rating it "1" and saying it sucks... IT'S A LIFETIME MOVIE!!!!!!! None of their movies have spectacular plots, or acting, or direction. That's just the Lifetime standard. Once you realize that you're not going to be watching an Oscar-winner, you can learn to enjoy their movies.
This movie is entertaining for what it is. There were no shocks. Or suspense (though it was meant to convey both). The plot was predictable, especially the ending. But it was fun to watch for 90 minutes. If you need something to entertain yourself for a few hours, this movie, along with the rest of the Lifetime film catalog, will do the trick. Just don't expect too much, okay?
The movie is about a single man and woman who join a dating website to find love. They eventually find it in each other, though she lives in LA and he lives in Philadelphia. After going on a few dates, they fall in love and decide to get married; their wedding and "love story" is so highly coveted a film crew from the site films their wedding. We learn the man has a daughter, and holds a close relationship with his ex-wife and her new husband. Soon after the two move in together, the new wife begins having hallucinations and showing extreme, possessive jealously towards every single woman in her husband's life, even if they have no romantic connection.
Soon things escalate, leading to a final showdown, which again... wasn't a shocker. It was actually a bit of a letdown.
I gave this movie a 6/10 because, like I said before, it is what it is: a Lifetime film. If you've watched one Lifetime movie, you will know what to expect from this one.

Married To Jonas focuses on the lives of newlyweds Danielle Deleasa (normal Jersey girl) and Kevin Jonas (1/3 of the popular boy band, the Jonas Brothers.) They are often accompanied by Dani's crazy Italian family, who barge in on the newlyweds more often than not. There are also special appearances by the Jonas clan from time to time.
The main focus of the show is Dani and Kevin wanting to have a baby, but the various issues they face (Kevin's upcoming world tour and album, Dani's anxiety diagnosis) have been holding them back from doing just that. But the show is more than just them trying to get pregnant; it shows their every day lives and them hanging out with their families like "normal" people, from planning birthday parties, to camping, to family vacations.
The show is very sweet, and I can guarantee you will like it even if you aren't a Jonas fan. People who are newlyweds, or those in relationships, will definitely be able to relate to the issues and squabbles that Dani and Kevin have.
One of the most enjoyable parts of the show, for me, is following Dani's story. She really is a normal girl who is trying to cope with the perks that come with a Cinderella life. She is someone that a lot of women can relate to, with her anxiety diagnosis, relationships with sisters, living up to the expectations of being a wife and mother, having children, etc. Kevin is less relatable but he seems like a nice person, and even though he is a rock star, he still deals with the "normal" every day pressures of being a husband, especially since he is the sole provider of the family.
The show is entertaining if you need something mindless to watch on a Sunday night before bed to help you unwind. It is interesting and entertaining, but less so than the Kardashians. I give this show a 7/10 rating, but rated it a 10/10 on IMDb to curb the unnecessarily bad reviews (4.9, really?) Definitely one of the best reality shows on television. I hope it gets renewed for more seasons!

I was really surprised when I watched this movie and liked it! I've watched it a few times now and each time I love it even more.
Usually I don't watch Lifetime or any other television movies, but this one I was interested in, probably because I LOVE ghost stories and anything creepy.
The story was written well and I didn't expect the 'twist' at the end (maybe I wouldn't call it a twist, but a surprise, for sure!) If you are bored one night, watch this movie! I was actually a little creeped out the first time I watched it. The CGI is cheaply done (I never like special effects in horror movies and wasn't expecting anything great for a TV movie) but it isn't cheesy. Plus, this movie is better than some I've paid $10 to see at the movie theater.
I gave this film a 10 to balance out the people who left such horrid reviews, though I'd probably rate it an 8. I really enjoyed this film, and you will too if you don't expect to see "Insidious" or "Scream" or "A Nightmare on Elm Street." It's NOT a scary movie in that sense. Yes, it's a creepy and suspenseful film, but I wouldn't classify it as horror. Take the time to watch this, but don't expect to see any award winning original material.
