There were a couple of dodgy scenes and a bunch of scences that cause debate (probably intentionally) and a few people didnt like a cast member for some obscure reason (i thought that person was great).
Other than that why the hate?
Its old school star wars with some amazing scences that had me on the edge of my seat and a very nice addition to the filling out of the (new) expanded universe with new stories of old. It was as good as the Mandalorian.

Gordon Freeman is about a mile away down the road doing his thing at the Black Messa complex but this movie ignores all that and wastes its time with a bunch of half wits stuck in a truck stop shop with the most annoying cult member that you just would shoot in the head at the very start. Superb ending i must admit, but just skip to the last 3 mins or so and then go play through the half life games for the good stuff.
I was a very young kid when the first Terminatir came out. Loved it ever since. T2 was awsome but the other were medicore until this one. Genesys is fantastic.
I Cant wait to see dark fate.
