  • Cinema Artmanship - Tough Subject depicted like a dream

Cinema is not only about making people dream. It's about changing things and making people think.

The cinema autography is the hero here. Water tight writing and editing adds to this musical tension that keeps on building with each frame as each toggle shifts right on this OTT marvel.

In this era of overdose and abuse of OTT content comes such a blissful 140 odd minutes biography that touches your heart and leaves you with a thought that hypocrisy is what has been always prevalent and that's what limits the art especially in our so called modern thinking societal pulses.

To cut short, thanks Imitiaz Ali for a brilliant cast - No one could have performed better than Diljit for this role and so apt for Parineeti who I think is a better Chopra w.r.t. Acting skills . There is a scene in which she starts opening up with Chamkila , capturing such innocence of that era is a classpart.

Recommended to watch keeping your phones aside, your laptop closed and asking your soulmates to give yourself some "me time" to enjoy this artful piece.

Been lucky to have read the book, the adaption is well directed with an apt cast supporting the cause. It's not a typical run of the mills / popcorn TV but a more intense and a genius perspective to it. The winner is cinematography for me since it depicts the 1960s setup in a more ensemble and artistic touch to it. It does gets a bit sloppy during the second half when the protagonist tries to unravel the character which could have been cut short making the plot more tight and gripping. It's must watch for those who are bored watching nonsense Netflix dramas and are content freak.

  • Wachowksis' Spin Magic

To Start With , Sense8 is a mainstream TV show in its own kind. Like this is one of them which will want to create its own genre rather than being a typical "superpowers" or "Sci-fi Netflix " TV shows. Sense8 brings promise from its first episode , thanks to the production house for making it on such a large scale and yet hitting the right note with the audience is not easy. The Wachowski sisters (the creators) has proved once again that they got something in them to think out of the box. The music is okay (nothing compared to "californication". The acting of all the lead characters is at par and apart from the special powers , there is that tone in their body language which completely justifies being "Nomi" or "Capiheus". There are some scenes which are truly heartbreaking.

The only piece where I think they could have done better was to have a really strong villain, the opposite force kicks in more from the second season, which again doesn't uproot anything considering creators wants the lead characters to get into audience's DNA first.

Overall a good package. I would never miss anything from Lana Wachowski as she is a trendsetter and I await for the 3rd season now.
