No big special effects to hold your breath about. It's about care, fun, and love despite the daily grind of policing. The internal audit lady always makes me smile, attempting to uphold 'perfect policing in a perfect world'. The drugs plot is more secondary for me. It's nice to see the characters develop further. I particularly like the respect shown by police officers to marginalised people.

I decided to watch this movie because of the overall IMDB rating. I don't understand why the rating was so high. There is a nice pace at the start. I started disengaging during 'Chapter 2' and hard to turn off the telly to save electricity 😆. I couldn't connect with the main character. The scene during the party where she openly flirts with a person who is 'taken' was not realistic.

Maybe I'm too old to appreciate bad childish romance.

I usually never watch movies rated under 7.2.

This one came up on TV and from the first 5 minutes, it was clear it was a banger. The main character is super realistic and comically endearing in his quest for gold.

While this is a long movie, it keeps a very good pace.

The prospector and geologist form an unusual but formidable pair.

When major roadblocks come in the way of the pair's project, we are absolutely sucked in so much that we are blindsided just like the main character.

We also discover a smart girlfriend, which is pleasing. After reading other reviews, I agree that we could have explored other characters better. This would probably be better suited for a mini series today.
