I started watching this not really thinking I would like it that much. Wrong! I fell in love with it ! Can't wait for season 2. I love all the characters, especially John. They all bring something to the table, and are all very likable. Except, for Ziegler I guess. I love how it's based around puzzle solving. It has mystery, humor and even an emotional element.
This is the second movie I've watched recently with poor ratings. I'm glad i ignored them. I read the book and throughly enjoyed it so I've wanted to watch the movie for a long time. Yes, there were changes made to the movie but I don't think any made that much difference. I do always like books because you get much more detail. But, then you would have people complaining about how long the movie was. I thought all the characters did a great job. The movie kept you watching from the beginning to the very end. We took no breaks! It made you stop and think what you would do in this situation. Yes, some of her ways may have seemed foolish. But, she wasn't an expert. I would recommend this movie and the book too.
Why are people always so negative? This movie was really good! It was fast paced and very entertaining. Egerton and Bateman's performances were especially impressive. My daughter and I watched it and were on the edge of our seats the entire time, wondering how the situation was going to end. I loved that they threw in bits and pieces about the different characters that made you get more involved with what was going to happen. It made you stop and think about all the horrible things happening in our world and the many unsung heroes that step up and try to keep us safe. As a society we are so quick to fuss and complain, instead of trying to be positive and help one another. I would definitely recommend this movie. We really liked it.
