I had some good laughs while watching this, and there were definitely moments that elicited a genuine chuckle. However, looking back, I'm not entirely convinced it was the best use of my time. While entertainment is subjective, the film didn't leave a lasting impression, and I wouldn't be inclined to revisit it in the future. It felt more like a fleeting source of amusement rather than a truly engaging cinematic experience.
Beyond just not being particularly memorable, some scenes in the movie veered into outright silliness. While a bit of lightheartedness can be enjoyable, there were instances where the humor felt forced and detracted from any potential substance the film might have had. These moments often felt out of place and broke the flow of the narrative.
Furthermore, the overall production quality of the scenes left something to be desired. It wasn't offensively bad, but it certainly didn't stand out in a positive way. The visual presentation felt somewhat amateurish, almost on par with a collection of random comedic sketches strung together. This lack of polish further contributed to the feeling that the film lacked a certain level of sophistication. Additionally, I found myself quite taken aback by some instances of blatant sexism woven into the humor. These moments were not only unfunny but also quite uncomfortable and unnecessary, leaving a negative impression of the film's overall tone and message.

Finally a movie from Scorsese, and all the biggest actors of crime movies, where the mafia is not glorified.
The plot is quite realistic and sad, as organized crime is. But the end makes you understand that crime does not pay. Which is for me a really good point, since some real mafia bosses (Schiavone), even made a villa exactly the same shape as the one in Scarface.
The length is maybe the worst thing, it´s indeed too long, but you don´t get bored. Is filled with interesting stories, just that you may need to plan when to watch it, to not end up going to sleep at 2 am.
In case you are into De Niro, Scorsese, Al Pacino, or Joe Pesci. It ´ s definitely a ´to watch´ movie; it wants to send a clear message of goodbye from the biggest mafia movie actors.
I guess it is a proper and neat way to take farewell, especially after many movies of organized crime glorification.

After watching the trailer, I thought it was an interesting erotic movie about love and sex.
Actually, I have to say that it was much deeper and intriguing than I thought.
It's for sure a must see movie that will carry you all the way, the full two and half hours of it's length.
It's quite psychological and open to many interpretation.
The director didn't make this masterpiece to be categorized as a certain kind of movie, but it's all about your own prospective.
I always enjoy directors that give the spectator the freedom of hoovering over the meaning and symbols of the movie.
Of course, Kubrick is a genius.
