I'm rewatching this show trying to figure out how or why they decided to do what they did, the problems they showed us (stupid problems and sets ups against Crawford) happened since the beginning of season 1, why did they wait 2 seasons to fire him??... it's a mistery!, what it's not, it's how talented this guy is, what a good job he did playing Martin Riggs and why not to say it, what a great team he did with Wayans. I used to love Wayans (since The Last Boy Scout), but after this, I just can't stand him, what he did to his collague what's too low, and showed the kind of person he really is, despitate loosing his own job (and knowing he was going to, he kept provoking Crawford over and over to get his goal) Nevertheless, the 2 first season of the show are very worthy, funny, touching, filled with actions, very deep plots, and great performances.
I won't lie to you I have no idea about the army, especially the Australian army, I don't know about their rules or anything related to them, but the drama and mystery in this show is enough to keep you watching and biting your fingernails, the whole 6 episodes, Jay Ryan's performance was MAGNIFICENT, so were Ewen Leslie and Kate Mulvany's, but in my opinion Jay was the best, I would have loved to say the same about the wives characters and little boys, but well, they're secondary characters and we can let them pass, if you have the chance to watch it, don't miss it, you won't be sorry.
This movie is been one of the best in its genre, I don't want to spoil anything to you, so all I'll say, it's that if you enjoy the movies that let you with your mouth open but without wondering what the hell happened, this is a perfect movie for you, I mean, you won't know what the hell until the very end, but you will know, it's not like those movies that let you that sensation like you didn't catch half of the plot, if you pay attention to all the details you will get all the answers at the end, the acting was terrific, I'm a huge fan of Cillian Murphy and he didn't let me down, was good to watch him as a normal nice guy for a change, and Thandie Newton and Jamie Bell were outstanding also, I think that what it makes this movie so enjoyable it's the fact that the main characters were normal human beings reacting as regular people would react in such situation, there were no Rambos who knew how to handle SMGs, and fight and build bombs, anyway
to me it's totally worth it and I recommend it 100%.
