Okay, yes... Zac Efron has a different face now. Get over it. Once you do, it's just a fun flick. Nicole Kidman and Zac Efron are actually SO cute together in this film (which, btw, had one of the biggest laugh out loud moments I've seen in a romcom in a LONG time!). Overall, I was pleasantly surprised.

Joey King is adorable as ever in this movie. Her acting is so fitting for her personality and I genuinely enjoyed all she has to offer here. And Kathy Bates is a gem no matter what she does on screen. However, the kicker of this flick was the romance between NK & ZE! I literally squealed at one part because it was just so romantic and sweet. It frames an often criticized and overlooked part of our social structure where a single mother or a woman of a certain age isn't allowed to just be a woman, and I for one appreciate the spotlight. It was portrayed so well by these 2 beautiful, beautiful actors. Thank you for the couple hours of fun and romance. I had a blast watching!
