Honestly, I have never read the books but I would have to give it a THUMBS DOWN. The storyline is so-so and the acting is eh. Out of my DVR recordings I save this one for the very last. I'm on the latest episode 5 and it's such a bore. I wait for a promising episode but it hasn't happened yet.
First episode was crap but it did get better each episode. If this show does not improve then I'm going to stop watching it. I really do see the potential in the storyline but whoever directed this and casted it is a disgrace. This show really could have been something. Maybe they will cancel it and in a few years have a much better version.

So I love all the conjuring and annabelle movies but this was by far the lamest of them all.Im very disappointed because of it could have been great! It had so much potential but I guess it's ok for just a watch. Kids can watch this and not be scared.
I have seen so many negative ratings and I'm in disbelief. This movie was beautiful and I enjoyed the plot. The acting was great too!
I have just learned that this is part of a trilogy of books! This girl is definitely heading to the book store tomorrow! I can't wait for the second movie!
