The film assembles a full parade of chaotic characters and leans into their absurdity without hesitation. It embraces idiocy as its chosen language, unhinged in the exact way it wants to be.
Every misfit gets room to be chaotic and every scene doubles down on its own nonsense. Demented fun from start to finish.

It comes across as a failed pilot episode of a shelved TV series, desperately attempting to recreate the magic of Scorsese & De Niro's legendary gangster films. It channels classic gangster energy but ends up feeling unfinished. The tone remains tentative and lacks the cinematic ambition of the gangster classics it invokes.
Awful-looking CGI dwarfs, tacky costumes, bad acting all across the board, and worst casting choices. One of the most uninspired and dull adaptations of the fairy tale. Not a single redeeming quality. Feels like a remake by routine rather than by vision, a flat retelling that fails to honor the original.
